The leisure group Atxutxiamaika, part of Elgoibarko Izarra, and the Municipal Playroom in Elgoibar have announced their summer leisure offerings, featuring a variety of activities for children and young people. The registration period is open from today until May 6, and the full program can be consulted on the websites atxutxiamaika.eus and elgoibar.eus.
Atxutxiamaika will organize “txokos” (activity corners) for children aged HH2 to HH5 (Early Childhood Education), held in the mornings, Monday to Friday, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Two shifts have been established: the first from June 22 to July 3, and the second from July 6 to July 17. There is also an option to register for both periods. The price per shift will be 88 euros (79 euros for members), while participating in both shifts will cost 166 euros (158 euros for members). Registrations can be made online through the Atxutxiamaika website or in person at the Elgoibarko Izarra office, located at Aita Agirre 3. Place assignments will be made on May 8.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Playroom has prepared activities for students from LH1 to LH6 (Primary Education). Children from LH1 to LH3 can participate in open camps from June 22 to July 17, including trips to the pool and beach, workshops, games, and excursions. For students in LH4 and LH5, special activities have been scheduled, such as trips to Deba beach and Mutriku, a surf course in Zarautz, a visit to Santa Clara island, paddle surfing in Zumaia, and a summer farewell day. Finally, LH6 students can enjoy a stay from June 19 to 21 at the Txurruka hostel in Orio.
The City Council will also offer financial aid to families in need. The application period will be open from May 11 to June 11, and more information can be obtained at the Citizen Attention Office.
