Eibar's streets were painted green this morning for the fifth annual March Against Cancer, which gathered nearly a thousand participants.

Hundreds of people of all ages gathered in Eibar's Untzaga square for the fifth March Against Cancer. This event, organized by the Asociation Against Cancer in Gipuzkoa, has become a significant fixture in the town's calendar of solidarity initiatives.
According to organizers, approximately a thousand people joined the walk. "We had sold 800 t-shirts by Friday, and we are selling more now," stated the women managing the association's stand in Untzaga.
This year's event was preceded by a new non-competitive 5-kilometer race through the town center, starting and finishing at Untzaga square. About twenty runners took on the challenge, cheered on by the participants of the main march.
The initiative highlighted the solidarity of Eibar and the Debabarrena region with individuals and families affected by cancer, as well as support for medical research seeking a cure.

Solidarity was dressed in green this morning in Eibar during the fifth March Against Cancer.

In the preceding days, registration points were set up at various social centers, retirement homes, and the Eibar Cancer Association's headquarters. Online registration was also available and widely used by many participants.
Led by the local txaranga band Ustekabe, participants paraded through the streets of Eibar. After completing the route, attendees enjoyed refreshments and concluded the event with a display of solidarity, setting the date for the sixth edition next year.
