The Elgoibar Town Council has initiated the tender process for the renovation and expansion of the gym located within the Mintxeta sports complex. This project aims to integrate adjacent spaces, currently used for other purposes, into the gym, creating a larger and more open area that will better serve the needs of its users.
This initiative is a result of the collaboration between the Elgoibar Town Council and Danobat Group. The tender budget is set at 206,760.90 euros plus VAT, with an estimated completion time of two months. The current gym, covering 268 m², will be expanded by incorporating the area of four adjacent bays, excluding the toilet facilities.
The expansion will include spaces located on both sides of the longitudinal corridor beneath the stands. Specifically, the aerobics room (106 m²) and three smaller spaces designated for storage and maintenance workshops will be added. In total, the expansion area will add 166 m² to the gym, including partitions.

This improvement is made possible by the financial support from Danobat Group, which has contributed 125,000 euros to the Elgoibar Town Council. This contribution will enable the execution of the works, providing users with a more functional and suitable space. The project aligns with the municipal commitment to continuously improve public facilities and promote well-being and sports among citizens.
