The Works Council of Tubos Reunidos held a meeting to assess the communication received on Thursday afternoon. The majority of the committee, comprising ELA, LAB, and ESK, has made it clear that they will not grant legitimacy to the referendum scheduled for May 7, which is principally about a strike.
According to the unions, this initiative does not comply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement or the Workers' Statute. Furthermore, they have reported that they have not been provided with information regarding the collected signatures and believe that this move by management is a maneuver to divide the workforce.
“"The multinational's management does not respond to us and does not meet with us."
In this context, the majority of the committee has encouraged workers to continue fighting until their objectives are met, and they have specifically invited them to participate in Thursday's picket line to demonstrate unity against the management's stance.
