The workforce at Tubos Reunidos in Amurrio has decided to suspend the indefinite strike, opting instead for 24-hour stoppages to maintain pressure during the company's ongoing insolvency proceedings.

The works council, comprising members from ELA, UGT, LAB, CCOO, and ESK, has announced a new phase of mobilization. Workers have scheduled a protest for May 26 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, coinciding with a meeting at the commercial court.
During this meeting, the judge overseeing the insolvency, company management, and union representatives will discuss the factory's current status. This shift in strategy aims to adapt pressure tactics to the new legal framework.
Tensions have been high at the plant recently. Last Tuesday, a group of employees entered the facility on a company-provided bus, monitored by the Ertzaintza, while facing protests from those supporting the strike.
