The residents of the San José neighborhood in Amurrio will immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere from April 30th to May 2nd. As part of the celebrations, the Gaztetxe has organized a notable concert for May 1st, featuring the renowned alternative metal band Pi L.T. from Mungia, and the punk rock quartet Cabrón Dandy. The latter, fronted by the versatile artist Luis Vil, has achieved significant success with their debut album Lo inmediato.
Tickets for the concert will be priced at 12 euros and can only be purchased at the box office, with doors opening at 9:30 PM. As is customary at the Gaztetxe of Amurrio, there will be no advance sales. This event will mark the return to Amurrio of musicians Rafa Rueda, Aitor Abio, Xanpe, Txarlie Solano, and David González, who previously participated in the first edition of the Aiara Fest last May, presenting their album Balak Airean after a 20-year hiatus.
The festivities will kick off on Thursday, April 30th, at 6:00 PM with the txupinazo, children's games, a diskofesta, and a chocolate party. In the evening, the romería by Zirkinik Bez and DJs Masa and Pakita Penas will entertain the crowd. On Friday, May 1st, the morning will feature street entertainment with trikitixa, a cycling race, mass, vermouth dancing with Otegi, and a frog game championship in the new square. In the afternoon, prior to the concert at the Gaztetxe, there will be a dance exhibition and more dancing with Otegi.
The celebrations will culminate on Saturday, May 2nd, with a popular bean stew (tickets available at neighborhood bars until Tuesday, April 28th), followed by bingo. From 8:00 PM onwards, music will take over, starting with an 80s and 90s style guateque, followed by a romería by Altxa Porru at 10:00 PM. Dj Varro will be in charge of closing the festivities from one in the morning.
