The final kilometers of the Durango Classic proved spectacular, with Catalan cyclist Paula Blasi (UAE Team) demonstrating her superiority. Hundreds of fans congregated at Ezkurdi square to follow the race on a giant screen, and the event lived up to expectations.

On the first steep climb to San Juan, a leading group of five riders remained at the front. A surprise occurred during the rest period before the second ascent: world champion Magdeleine Vallieres crashed on a tight right-hand turn.

Subsequently, on the climb leading to the hermitage, Paula Blasi set a strong pace and attacked solo. From that point on, she maintained her lead and crossed the finish line alone, securing the victory. The 23-year-old rider has shown excellent form recently, having just won the Vuelta.

Evita Muzic (FDJ) and Alice Towers (EF Education-Oatly) finished in second and third place, respectively. The mountains classification was also claimed by Paula Blasi.

Among the Basque cyclists, Ayala Serrano (Cantabria Deporte-Rio Miera) was the first to finish, ahead of Maite Urteaga (Eulen-Amenabar) and Naia Amondarain (Laboral Kutxa).
