Residents of Llodio, over 24,600, along with more than 41,700 people from the Aiaraldea region, will receive care at this new facility. Services extend beyond primary care to include specialist consultations and mental health support.
The Department of Health of the Basque Government has invested 19 million euros in this infrastructure. Construction began in late 2023 and finished this summer. The 7,972 square meter building spans seven floors, offering more space and comfort for patients and professionals compared to the previous facilities.
The new center is part of Osakidetza's 2025-2032 Health Infrastructure and Equipment Program and aligns with the Basque Government's Health Pact strategies to strengthen Primary Care.
According to 2025 data, the center handled over 155,000 scheduled consultations and more than 21,000 attendances at the Continuous Care Point (PAC). Additionally, over 45,400 specialist consultations and nearly 89,000 diagnostic tests were performed.
This center, belonging to the OSI Barrualde-Galdakao, provides a wide range of services: Primary Care (family medicine, pediatrics, nursing, dental health, physiotherapy), Continuous Care Point (PAC), Maternal and Child Care (gynecology, midwifery consultations), Extra-hospital Medicine (digestive, cardiology, dermatology, etc.), Radiology, Rehabilitation, and Mental Health services (psychiatry, psychology, social work).
