The LAB union has called for a demonstration on May Day in Eibar, starting from Untzaga Square at 12:30 PM, to demand labor rights, dignified pensions, and social justice, as well as to express a firm stance against war.

The main objectives of this mobilization are to guarantee decent minimum wages and pensions, and to close the sexist, racist, and generational gaps. Additionally, they will call for the strengthening of public services to ensure the right to education, healthcare, and care. They will also demand an end to housing speculation and the defense of employment through an eco-social transition in industry.

"To strengthen public services to guarantee the right to education, healthcare, and care; to end housing speculation; and to defend employment by promoting an eco-social transition in industry."

Regarding the international situation, LAB has stated that it sees "oppression and war everywhere" and has denounced capitalism as a "violent, colonial, and heteropatriarchal system." The union warns that employers will try to make workers pay the cost of the Middle East war by increasing prices and attacking employment and working conditions, as happened in previous crises.
They recalled the general strike on March 17, when more than 100,000 people took to the streets in Hego Euskal Herria to demand a guaranteed minimum income for all workers and pensioners. However, they have criticized that employers have turned a "deaf ear" to this strike.
Finally, they have expressed solidarity with workers fighting for job security, including those at Maderas de Llodio and Tubos Reunidos in Aiaraldea. After the demonstration, at 2:30 PM, a meal will be held in Untzaga Square, followed by a concert by the Bergararra group Nebar.
