EH Bildu of Urduña has issued a press release to express its disagreement with this year's Otxomaio festival organization model, highlighting a lack of participation and concerns regarding the management of txosna regulations.

According to the opposition group, there have been hardly any calls for meetings of the festival and txosna committees, which has hindered the involvement of collectives, associations, and individuals. The coalition emphasizes that these decision-making spaces are crucial for the festive environment to be inclusive, egalitarian, respectful, plural, and Basque-speaking.

Furthermore, they have accused the PNV of not having discussed the regulatory bases for the txosnas with those involved in this area. The group stated that the application of a document not worked on with associations cannot be promoted without prior knowledge of their criteria, rules, and their effects.
Finally, EH Bildu has advocated for the need to improve the selection process for the pregonero (town crier) and txupinero (rocket launcher). They argue that this process should be managed freely, based on different values, figures, and merits.
