The Aztertu program, from the Environmental Education Service for citizens of the Basque Government, is coming to the Aiaraldea region in April with a special proposal of free, practical, and participatory activities to promote environmental education among families and young people.

This initiative will visit four municipalities on different dates, offering a program organized in collaboration with the Cuadrilla de Aiaraldea. All activities are free and are aimed at families, young people, and children.
The kick-off will be this Saturday, April 18, in Laudio's Herriko plaza, where an information point will be set up from 10:00 to 14:00. There, attendees can learn about the materials and resources offered by Aztertu to explore rivers, coastlines, natural environments, and urban parks.
The following day, Sunday, April 19, the town of Luiaondo will host a family activity in the Nerbioi-Ibaizabal stream, from 11:00 to 13:00. This proposal is ideal for families to enjoy while learning about the river ecosystem.
The program will continue on April 24 in Artziniega, with a gymkhana at the Gazteleku, designed for young people, taking place from 18:00 to 19:00. The agenda will culminate on April 26 in Okondo, where children can enjoy the puppet show Erreka Mari at the Casa de Cultura at 12:00, which addresses the importance of caring for the river.
Although all activities are free, the family activity in the river in Luiaondo and the youth gymkhana in Artziniega require prior registration. To reserve a spot, you can call 747 42 99 33 or write to aztertu@euskadi.eus. Information can also be found on Instagram.
