Jon Koldo Bikandi was the leading figure at the Pyrenean breed contest held today in Gernika-Lumo as part of the traditional Primer Lunes de Octubre fair. Bikandi reaffirmed his success by winning the awards for best livestock farm, best adult cow, and best young bull, adding further accolades to his record.
This year's edition saw Uztarroz (Navarre) take home the prize for best young cow, while Aitor Arana (Gipuzkoa) received the award for best adult bull. Additionally, Narbaiza Anaiak (Orozko) was recognized in the artificial insemination category.
The fair, now in its 39th edition, solidifies its position as a key event for the primary sector in Gernika-Lumo, highlighting the importance of the Pyrenean breed and the dedication of livestock farmers.
