The "Sukarrieta Gogoan" exhibition in Sukarrieta and Kanala recovers local history and the journeys of women who faced reprisals.

From September 1st to 6th, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the history of Sukarrieta and Kanala through old photographs and the experiences of women who were repressed.
The Sukarrieta City Council and the Kanala and Sukarrieta Women's Association, with the support of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, have launched this initiative. Its main objective is to recover the historical memory of the town and its surroundings, bringing it closer to the citizens.
The exhibition features two main sections. On one hand, there is a section dedicated to the reprisalized women of Sukarrieta, aiming to remember their experiences and the situations they endured. On the other hand, an impressive collection of historical photographs from Kanala and Sukarrieta has been gathered, offering a close look at the town's locales and past way of life.
The exhibition will be open to the public at the Kanala Civic Center from September 1st to 6th, in the afternoons, from 18:30 to 20:30.
