The Basque Parliament will convene a control plenary session this Friday, May 29th, where various questions and interpellations will be discussed to scrutinize the Basque Government's actions and public policies.
Among the matters to be addressed are the forecasts for next year's budgets, the consequences of Ertzaintza operations, and the objectives of the Department of Housing and Urban Agenda. Questions will also be raised regarding foreign investment in Euskadi and statements made by the Director General of Osakidetza concerning the use of Basque with patients.
The agenda also includes an interpelation on the recognition of the Lemóniz nuclear power plant as a place of memory and the rejection of ETA's criminal activity. The update of Basque self-government and the Government's stance on violent acts against Vox will also be debated.
Other points on the agenda include a question about the 2024 audit report of the General Administration of the Basque Autonomous Community (CAE) and an interpelation on the development of data centers. Issues concerning the fulfillment of the Employment Plan and specific Ertzaintza actions will also be discussed.
In the educational sphere, the continuity of specialist teachers for Hearing and Language will be addressed. Furthermore, questions will be presented on the plan for coastal protection in Euskadi against climate change, the functional plan for the new Tolosa hospital, and healthcare provision in rural areas.
Finally, interpelations will cover rail transport in Euskadi, the future of local commerce, and the Interinstitutional Commission for the Rationalization and Sizing of the Basque Public Sector.
