The municipality of Gernika-Lumo has organized a special market for the upcoming Saturday, September 5th, to be held in the market square. This event will highlight two key products from the region: rabbit and Bizkaia cider.
This initiative, supported by the City Council, aims to transform the market square into a meeting point for producers from Busturialdea. The primary objective is to promote the value of local products and offer an enjoyable leisure opportunity for attendees, allowing them to discover quality raw materials firsthand.
The market will feature tasting sessions of rabbit and cider, presented by producers at the main stalls. Additionally, the usual fruit and vegetable market will be present, offering a range of seasonal products such as cheeses, sweets, honey, gildas, pâté, bread, Basque cake, and txakoli. Around ten stalls dedicated to Basque crafts will also be available for visitors.
To ensure the whole family can enjoy the day, various activities have been organized for children throughout the morning, including games, inflatables, and workshops.
