Given the concern of Muxika residents about the condition of the BI-635 road, local authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to improving traffic intensity and safety by promoting various projects.

Local authorities in Muxika have expressed their alignment with residents' concerns regarding the state of the BI-635 road. They share the apprehension about traffic intensity, road safety, and the difficulties of secure connections between neighborhoods, as these issues directly impact the daily lives and quality of life of the inhabitants.
It has been emphasized that this concern has been on the table for some time, and it was noted that even before neighborhood mobilizations began, work was already underway to channel real solutions. This includes incorporating strategic projects into the regional reactivation plan and advancing concrete actions related to mobility and road safety from various institutional spheres.
Among the initiatives included in this regional reactivation plan, the cycle and pedestrian connection between Muxika and Gernika stands out, for which different route alternatives have already been proposed. Also included are improvements to accesses linked to the municipality's industrial development and the future Boane-Arana industrial estate, as well as the drafting and processing of the Special Road Plan for the improvement of the BI-635 road in the Zugaztieta-Ariatza section, a strategic action to reinforce road safety and improve connectivity between neighborhoods.
Additionally, complementary measures are being worked on to improve the functionality and traffic management on the BI-635. An example is the analysis of the Kurtzero intersection to study adjustments in traffic light regulation that would reduce congestion and promote smoother and safer circulation.

"We share the neighborhood's concern because it is also ours, but this issue does not start now: we have been working for a long time from different institutions so that Muxika has the infrastructures and connections it needs."
