Bizkaia is set to experience a dramatic weather shift, with temperatures dropping by up to 10 degrees and the return of rain, as forecasted by Euskalmet and Aemet.

From a summery Friday to a more wintery Saturday, Bizkaia is bracing for a significant drop in temperatures. In just 24 hours, the thermometer will plunge by up to 10 degrees, marking a noticeable change. Furthermore, rain is expected for a substantial part of the day.
According to forecasts from Euskalmet and Aemet, a cold front will cross the Cantabrian coast, leading to a deterioration in weather conditions that will last for several days. After an Easter Week characterized by clear skies and maximum temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius, it's time to get out the raincoat and umbrella once again.
For Saturday, a very unstable day is anticipated. This Friday, maximum temperatures of up to 30 degrees Celsius were recorded in several parts of the province, especially inland, in municipalities such as Orozko, Zalla, or Balmaseda. However, on Saturday, thermometers will experience a sharp drop, not exceeding 17 degrees Celsius. The Basque Meteorological Agency also warns of strong and frequent showers in the afternoon. The snow level, meanwhile, will be situated between 1,000 and 1,200 meters.
Sunday is also expected to be a turbulent day. While it won't rain as much as on Saturday, the Basque agency predicts clouds and clear spells in the morning, but the outlook will worsen in the afternoon. According to Euskalmet, "during the second half of the day, another front could affect us; the wind will settle from the northwest and intensify, the sky will become overcast, and rain and showers will occur, especially on the Cantabrian slope, without ruling out some thunderstorms." Maximum temperatures will also drop slightly, settling around 15 degrees Celsius.
Regarding the coming week, the weekly report from the State Meteorological Agency indicates that instability will persist on Monday, but rainfall will tend to subside. Maximum temperatures will remain at similar values. For Tuesday, the state agency forecasts a slight improvement: more warmth, but the probability of rain remains. The situation could change from Wednesday onwards with the return of the sun and a notable increase in mercury.
