The sports management of Athletic Club is closely monitoring the progress of forward Txus Vizcay, who is demonstrating exceptional performance during his loan spell at Arenas, proving crucial to the Bizkaia team's results.

Txus Vizcay, the talented forward from Huarte, is drawing the attention of Athletic Club's sports management due to his remarkable progression since being loaned to Arenas. Born on August 5, 2005, the player left Lezama in January with the goal of accumulating playing minutes he lacked during his debut with Bilbao Athletic. He has found his place at Arenas, strengthening the offensive line of the team coached by Jon Erice.
Vizcay's impact on his new team is measured in goals and points. Last Sunday, during Arenas' visit to Arenteiro, he scored the equalizer (1-1) with a header from a corner kick delivered by teammate Urko Collado, bringing his goal tally to six. All these goals have been instrumental in securing victories for Arenas, contributing a total of twelve points, the latest achieved at the Espideño field. This performance has propelled Arenas to mid-table, seven points clear of the relegation zone and five points from play-off positions, with a game in hand.
The forward, who arrived at Lezama in 2021 from Oberena, quickly adapted to Gobela, where he debuted with a goal in Arenas' 4-1 rout over Real Madrid Castilla. He has maintained his starting position ever since, except for the derby against Bilbao Athletic in Lezama, which he missed due to suspension. He was also decisive in Arenas' debut at Fadura, scoring the first goal in their 2-1 victory against Ourense. His peak moment came two matchdays ago when he scored his first hat-trick, allowing his team to come back and defeat Avilés (3-2) in stoppage time.
Driven by the 'Vizcay effect,' Arenas has gone five consecutive matchdays without a defeat, accumulating eleven out of a possible fifteen points. The team hopes to maintain this positive streak in their postponed match tomorrow at Fadura, at 7:00 PM, against Pontevedra. This game, corresponding to the twenty-eighth matchday, was suspended on March 14 due to the poor condition of the pitch caused by heavy rains. A victory would secure the Bizkaia team's permanence and place them just three points from the play-off spots.
