Bizkaia's roads experienced significant traffic problems on Friday afternoon, particularly from shortly before 2 PM until 4 PM. Congestion was reported on the A-8 towards Barakaldo, on the Txorierri towards the industrial city, and on La Avanzada in both directions.

These issues were exacerbated by an accident on the A-8 near the Cruces interchange, heading towards Santander. Two cars collided, leading to the closure of one lane.

Furthermore, another incident involving three vehicles occurred in the Malmasín tunnel area, also resulting in a lane closure and several kilometers of traffic jams.

By around 4 PM, all traffic problems had been resolved, and circulation returned to normal.
