Cyclist Maite Urteaga has capped off her exceptional season by winning the Emakumeen Saria race held in Balmaseda, once again demonstrating her outstanding performance.

The cyclist from Zumaia continues her winning streak. Two weeks after securing the Gipuzkoa and Euskadi time trial championships, she emerged victorious yesterday in the Emakumeen Saria in Balmaseda. The race, which counted towards the Euskadi Championship, took place in hot weather in the Enkarterri region of Bizkaia, covering 67 kilometers for the Elite category cyclists.
Urteaga adopted an aggressive approach, managing to break away solo to cross the finish line first with a time of 1:50:25. The second-place finisher, Goretti Sesma, was over two minutes behind, and Maialen Narbona finished third, nearly seven minutes adrift.
The cyclist from Zumaia completed the race at an average speed of 36.408 kilometers per hour. Urteaga was also the winner of this same race last year, highlighting her mastery of the course.
