Storms and hail predicted by Euskalmet have impacted Bizkaia on Thursday afternoon, leaving significant rainfall in several towns within minutes, causing overflows and problems.

Euskalmet's yellow alert has been fulfilled, and storms entered Bizkaia with force at 3:00 PM. Within minutes, images began circulating showing intense downpours in various locations.
These are the towns in Bizkaia where the most rain has fallen (liters per square meter in 10 minutes): Mungia (11.7), Galdakao (10), Bermeo (8.8), Abusu (8), Sangroniz (7.1), Matxitxako (6.1), and Orozko (5.4).
Furthermore, in Bilbao's Old Town, as in other places, many sewers overflowed due to the intensity of the water. The Calzadas de Mallona, according to several witnesses, have turned into a river flowing from Begoña to Plaza Unamuno.
The yellow alert will remain active until 9:00 PM this Friday, meaning there are still a few hours of intense rainfall ahead.
