Since its inception, HitzBatu has become a benchmark in Barakaldo's schools. Over the past twenty years, 11,224 students have taken part in the program, creating 545 original stories collectively, accompanied by their own illustrations.
The results of this work are compiled annually in a publication. Over the last two decades, more than 13,000 copies have been published and distributed, becoming part of the municipal library collections for public access.

The initiative has seen broad involvement from the local educational community. Municipal authorities have expressed their gratitude to teachers, families, and especially the students, who are the true protagonists of this creative endeavor.
