The Bizkaia Food Bank will conduct its Spring Campaign on June 5th and 6th, under the slogan ‘Lo damos todo’ ('Dena emoten dugu'). Since its founding in 1995, the organization has been dedicated to alleviating poverty in Bizkaia, assisting 14,994 people last year (including 2,422 children and 291 infants), distributing 2,606,873 kilos of food.
The presence of volunteers in supermarkets is crucial for the success of this campaign. Wearing blue vests, they will encourage customers to donate food or purchase food vouchers. Experience shows that collections are successful when volunteers are present, while their absence reduces the amount of food gathered. This year, they expect to match the 250,000 euro value achieved in the 2025 campaign.
We are confident in the generosity of the people of Bizkaia, which, as always, will exceed our expectations.
