Amorebieta-Etxano will host the new Jan Alai Burgers competition from April 17 to May 3, where eighteen establishments will vie for the title of the best burger in the municipality.

This initiative, which follows the success of similar events in nearby towns like Durango, seeks to offer an attractive gastronomic proposal for both residents and visitors, while also strengthening the activity of the local hospitality sector.
Participating establishments in this first edition include LekuBerri Zornotza, Txiri Txiri, Kafe Aspaldiko, Oasis Taberna, Taberna Amets, Bar Zelaieta, El Propi, Goizeder, Ortzimuga Taberna, Cafetería Venecia, Café Iruña, Aterpe Bar, La Viña, Singing Munch, Hotel Harrison, Batzoki Zornotza, La Amistad, and Cocoloko Smash Burger, creating a diverse culinary route through various points of the town.
Each establishment will prepare its own creation, which the public can evaluate through voting cards. The most voted burger will receive a prize of 500 euros. Additionally, those who cast their votes will be entered into a draw for 500 euros. The competition will also feature a professional jury, responsible for awarding the prize for the best burger, valued at 1,000 euros.
