The municipal market in Durango will offer a varied program of activities during April, targeting the general public. These initiatives aim to foster gastronomic knowledge, highlight the value of local products, and encourage participation in a dynamic and welcoming meeting point.
The schedule kicks off this Saturday, April 11, at 8:00 AM, with a visit from cheese producer Amatxo Gaztak. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about their work and sample their products. Additionally, on Thursdays at 6:00 PM, various educational and informative sessions will be held.
On April 16, a practical cooking workshop will focus on chicken butchering and utilization, teaching useful everyday techniques. Following this, on April 23, an Euskal Sagardoa tasting will take place, allowing participants to discover and enjoy Basque cider. On April 25, a show cooking event dedicated to edible wild plants will demonstrate their culinary potential.
To conclude the month, on April 30, the session “From Grain to Bread I” will be held as part of the “Getting to Know the Producer” workshop, exploring the process from raw material to bread making.
