Bizkaia to Compete in 36 Grabni Pelota Finals

The amateur handball pelota tournament finals will take place this Thursday and Friday across several towns, featuring significant representation from Bizkaia.

The towns of Sestao, Abadiño, Markina-Xemein, and Zierbena will host the Grabni amateur handball pelota finals this Thursday and Friday, with Bizkaia having a notable presence in 36 of them.

The competition, which began on March 15, has now reached its decisive stage. Bizkaia stands out as the delegation with the most significant representation, competing in 32 finals in the left wall modality and four in trinkete. Meanwhile, Nafarroa will participate in 28 left wall finals and ten in trinkete.
Other territories will also be represented: Gipuzkoa in 22 left wall finals and five in trinkete; Iparralde in two left wall and eleven in trinkete; Araba in four left wall and three in trinkete; and La Rioja in two left wall and one in trinkete.
Among all the matches, the festival to be held this Thursday at the Las Llanas fronton in Sestao will be particularly important. Starting at 7:30 PM, the senior leather paleta and short pala senior finals will be played, broadcast live by ETB-ON. In the senior leather paleta category, Gipuzkoa and Nafarroa will face each other, while Bizkaia and Nafarroa will compete in the senior short pala category.
