After the regular season concluded, the top eight teams in the Second FEB League are set to compete in the league playoffs. Among them is Biele ISB, which finished in third place in the standings. In the first playoff round, they will face Lobe Huesca La Magia, the Huesca-based team that finished seventh in the league.
The playoff tie will consist of home and away matches. The team will play the first game in Huesca on Saturday, at 8:15 PM, and the return match will be on May 3rd in Azpeitia, at 6:00 PM. The aggregate results of both games will determine which team advances to the quarterfinals.
“"We are very happy; we have had a very good regular season. The first half was unbeatable, even considering that three players tore their anterior cruciate ligaments. Due to these injuries, the team was dismantled, but we were able to face that situation, and the team emerged stronger."
The team's coach has given a positive assessment of the season, despite suffering four consecutive defeats in January. He stated that this bad patch prevented them from fighting for the top spot, but in the last month, they have achieved four consecutive victories, showing that the team is in good form. According to the coach, the team's objective is clear: to achieve promotion.
Lobe Huesca La Magia has experience in promotion playoffs, having played in the final to ascend to the First FEB League last year. The coach holds great respect for the opponent and has emphasized the importance of controlling their fast and adaptable play, especially since they have good shooters and strong big men in the paint.
Meanwhile, the Domusa Teknik ISB women's team will play their final regular league match on Saturday in Barcelona, at 7:00 PM. To qualify for the playoffs, they will need to secure a victory or hope for a defeat from Alter Enersun Al-Qazeres Extremadura. The coach has indicated that the team is on a good run, having won four of their last five games, and believes they are physically superior to their opponent.
