The voting period for the opening acts of Irun's San Pedro and San Marcial concerts in 2026 is now open until June 16. Four local bands have registered to perform at Urdanibia Plaza.

The deadline for voting for the opening acts at the San Pedro and San Marcial concerts in Irun for 2026 is now open, with citizens able to cast their votes until June 16. As is customary, local bands from Irun will have the opportunity to perform at Urdanibia Plaza before the main artists of the festivals.
This year, four groups have decided to participate: the duo Sivana, the dark pop-rock band Slimfit, the rappers Wonka and Waje 4LEB, and Folkesí, who will attempt to bring their Irish folk and pop folk to the stage. These acts will precede Gozategi on June 13 and Bele on June 23.
The number of registered bands has significantly decreased in recent years since the full return of the festivals after the pandemic. Just two years ago, in 2024, ten groups signed up for the popular vote, and in 2023, there were nine local bands. This figure contrasts with the main lineup, which features renowned artists such as Chenoa, Henry Mendez, Gozategi, and Puro Relajo, who are scheduled to open the festivities on June 6 at San Juan Plaza.
Furthermore, the submission period for proposals for the San Pedro and San Marcial festival poster will remain open until April 26. An Artistic Commission will convene on April 29 to decide which proposals will be included in the popular vote, scheduled from May 4 to 14.
