The Ertzaintza has arrested two minors, aged 14 and 17, as alleged perpetrators of a serious assault on a taxi driver that occurred last April in Irun.

The incident took place last April in the old town of Irun, when a group of youths confronted the taxi driver's vehicle and threw a liquid inside through an open window. When the taxi driver got out to confront them, two of the youths hit him in the face, causing a fractured jaw and an ear injury.
The victim, 58 years old, was left stunned and lying on the public street. After being attended at a hospital, he underwent surgery days later.

Following the complaint filed with the Ertzaintza, the police resources that carried out the investigation were able to identify the two alleged perpetrators. The two minors, who have an extensive criminal record despite their young age, were located this Friday in Irun and arrested for assault.
They have both been placed at the disposal of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, which has ordered the release of one and the placement of the younger one in an educational center.
