Jon Ugarte, Delegate for Open Government and Citizen Attention, welcomed the participants, initiating a fruitful debate and highlighting the initiative's enduring philosophy within the city.
Working groups presented 16 proposals, which were then voted on by attendees. This process determined the initial three projects that will advance to the final vote after a feasibility analysis by municipal technical services.
The three finalist proposals moving forward are: adapting spaces for emotional management activities for youth and adults; improving sidewalks to prevent falls caused by tree roots; and reinforcing dog waste bins to aid in street cleanliness.
A total of 226 online proposals were received (193 from the general process and 33 from the youth process). All technically validated online proposals will undergo a pre-vote on September 28th and 29th, with the top 13 advancing to the final vote. Identification will be required via the Irun Txartela, allowing each person to select up to 5 proposals.
Additionally, four more proposals (three from the Federation of Neighborhood Associations and one from the Citizen Forum) will join the final vote, resulting in 20 finalist projects per process.
The final voting will take place between October 2nd and 6th, both electronically via irun.org (using Irun Txartela) and at designated support points.
On October 2nd, from 18:00 to 20:00, a support tent for online voting will be set up in the Plaza del Ensanche.
