Irun has launched a new edition of its discount code campaign through the Irun.market platform to promote local commerce. This new edition, which opened for code requests on Wednesday, September 16, follows the success of the previous campaign, which saw 673 participants and 1,184 vouchers redeemed.
Nuria Alzaga, first deputy mayor and delegate for City Promotion and Economic Development, presented the new edition. She stated, "Irun.market is another tool within the work we are doing to support local commerce. With these codes, we achieve two things: facilitating purchases for citizens and ensuring that this consumption directly benefits Irun's businesses."
The results of the previous campaign, which generated nearly 37,000 euros in total turnover, demonstrate the initiative's effectiveness. Therefore, this edition continues with the innovations introduced to encourage purchases, particularly among the municipality's youth.
Individuals up to 35 years old will receive ten codes instead of the usual five. Additionally, participating businesses can offer a new product on the platform: the 'In-store Purchase Voucher'. Each voucher is valued at 30 euros, reduced to 20 euros after applying the discount code. If the purchase exceeds the voucher's value, the user must pay the difference.
Interested individuals can request discount codes until September 29 via the municipal website. Once distributed, the codes can be redeemed from October 26 to December 4 (until December 11 for the in-store purchase vouchers).
