Irun is set to observe San Pedro Day this coming Monday with a program of events, featuring a High Mass and the traditional Corporation's aurresku dance, acting as a prelude to the San Marcial festivities.

The day's festivities in Irun will commence early at 8:00 AM with the traditional 'dianas' (dawn parades) led by the Municipal Music Band of Irun and Jostailu Dultzaineroak. Later, at 10:45 AM, the Municipal Corporation will depart in procession from San Juan square, accompanied by the Irungo Txistulari Taldea (flute group), the Music Band, and the giants and 'cabezudos' (big-heads) from Irungo Atsegina.
At 11:00 AM, the High Mass for San Pedro will be held at the Juncal church. During the service, the parish choir, joined by singers from other local groups, will perform 'Tu es Petrus' by Hilarión Eslava.
Following the religious service at 12:00 PM, the Municipal Corporation will exit the church to perform the traditional aurresku dance for the public in the small square of Juncal. They will then return in procession to San Juan square, where the Municipal Music Band of Irun will present its customary San Pedro concert at 12:30 PM.
The program will conclude in the evening, starting at 8:00 PM, with a performance by the fanfarre (brass band) Los Trankilos, who will parade through the areas surrounding San Juan, Luis Mariano, and the Ensanche square.
