The Ficoba exhibition center in Irun has established itself as an attractive filming location for various productions, owing to its unique attributes.

Director Daniel Calparsoro is currently filming his upcoming movie, El confidente, set to premiere in January. This week, the production team filmed sequences at Ficoba, which was transformed into the National Court for the occasion.
Technicians and actors, including Javier Gutiérrez as a veteran anti-terrorist police officer and Miguel Herrán as a young ETA member turned informant, have been on site. The production began in mid-April in Donostia and will continue for several weeks across various locations in the Basque Country, with Ficoba being one of them.
The team had previously filmed scenes in the auditorium in late April, and this recent visit focused on exterior shots, utilizing the parking lot and the access plaza.
This is not the first time Ficoba has served as a film location. Last year, the venue hosted the filming of Un funeral de locos, featuring a star-studded cast including Quim Gutiérrez, Ernesto Alterio, and Belén Rueda.
Several production companies, such as Bowfinger International Pictures, Esto también pasará, and Atresmedia, appear to have found Ficoba's distinctive features ideal for their audiovisual projects.
Other notable productions that have utilized the venue include Ventajas de viajar en tren (2019) by director Aritz Moreno and Dantza by Telmo Esnal.
Ficoba's connection with audiovisual fiction dates back to the project's early days, with the filming of the short film Sintonía by Jose Mari Goenaga.
