The Municipal Library Network of Donostia Kultura has once again published its annual book recommendation guide, titled 'Irakurlee'. This year's guide compiles 104 works published last year, with 52 in Basque and another 52 in Spanish. All these books are available for members to borrow or reserve through the Municipal Library Network.
The guide can be accessed in both print and digital formats. 10,000 copies have been printed and will be distributed in libraries and cultural centers. It is also available for download in PDF format from the Donostia Kultura website.
The guide caters to readers of all ages, divided into three main sections. The children's section features 64 book recommendations, half in Basque and half in Spanish, categorized by age: for 0+ years (available for infants), for 5+ years (in the informal reading area), for 8+ years (marked with a red sticker), and for 12+ years (marked with a yellow sticker).
The adult section, meanwhile, includes 40 recommended books, also split between Basque and Spanish. A third section showcases narrative and theatre books selected from the 46th edition of the Kutxa Fundazioa Irun Literary Awards.
