Dies Oiassonis 2026: Traffic Disruptions in Irun

Irun Local Police announce traffic closures and diversions for the Roman festival.

Irun City Council has announced that various areas of the city will experience traffic disruptions and diversions due to the XVI edition of the Roman festival, Dies Oiassonis.

Until July 19, the taxi rank and motorcycle parking on Jenaro Etxeandia square will be unavailable. Beraketa street will be enabled as an alternative for motorcycles and taxis.
From July 15 to 19, Iglesia street, between Navarra avenue and Escuelas street, will be closed. Access to Sarasate street will be via Francisco de Gainza street and Almirante Pérez Portu street.
On July 18, due to the Navigium Osidis procession, Colón promenade will be closed between Gipuzkoa avenue and Iglesia street from 18:50 to 19:45. The interchange will be disabled, and access/exit to the San Juan parking via Jenaro Etxeandia street will be cut off.
A temporary closure will occur at the intersection of Navarra avenue with Iglesia street and San Marcial street from 20:00 until the procession crosses towards Escuelas street. The interchange and San Juan parking will be affected during this closure.
Access to Dunboa street will be cut off from Ramon Iribarren street and Erlaitz street between 20:30 and 21:10.
On other days, minor traffic disruptions are expected due to road crossings required for various scheduled events. The Local Police thank the public for their cooperation.
