The Gipuzkoan team has gone six consecutive matchdays without a defeat, and after their away victories in Logroño and Valladolid, they want to replicate that strong performance at home in Irun, where they have found it more challenging to secure points.
Only two matches remain in Irun, and after the Aranda team, the crucial match against Granollers will arrive. The latter is just one point behind and is their main competitor for third place. In the border town, they dream that this third position could even turn into a runner-up spot if Logroño falters in the remaining four matchdays.
“"Aranda is the team with the most variety in attack beginnings, and that can confuse us a lot. We have to be guided by their offensive intentions, rather than by the start of the plays."
The coach of Bidasoa-Irun has highlighted the quality of the Tubos Aranda squad, which includes players on loan from the Irun club, Asier Iribar and Jakub Sladkowski. The latter is described as “tough in defense and having a very good season,” according to the coach, who also emphasized the opponent's playing style.
