This morning, the Guztiok Mugituz awards were presented at the Catalonia hotel in San Sebastián, recognizing efforts to enhance mobility through public transport.

The Arrasate Council of Elders (ANAKON) and the federation of Neighborhood Associations of Irun were the recipients of this year's Guztiok Mugituz awards, for their "significant progress" in improving mobility via public transport. The ceremony took place this morning at the Catalonia hotel in San Sebastián.
Azahara Domínguez, Deputy for Mobility, Tourism, and Territorial Planning, highlighted ANAKON's work, particularly in the launch of the telephone service for Lurraldebus. "Anakon successfully conveyed this need, and as a result, we quickly implemented a measure with significant social impact, enabling many individuals to manage their travel comfortably, accessibly, and autonomously," she stated.

"It is an award for the teamwork undertaken to improve the quality of life in our community, and this recognition gives us great strength to continue our work."

Pilar Iriarte · Member of the Council of Elders
Pilar Iriarte, a member of the Council of Elders, described receiving the Guztiok Mugituz award as "a great honor" for all ANAKON members. "It also allows us to see that the work done so far has truly been worthwhile," she added.
Furthermore, the Provincial Council also recognized the efforts of the Irun Neighborhood Associations, including their role in adjusting schedules for workers when the E29 line was launched, connecting Hondarribia and Irun with hospitals. "This line has transformed the mobility habits of thousands of residents from Hondarribia and Irun, facilitating access to employment, improving connections to essential health services, and reducing travel times," explained the deputy.
