This coming Sunday morning, the Pottokaleku Interpretation Center in the Aizkorri-Aratz natural park will host a special event to get to know the local pottokas up close.

In the heart of the Aizkorri-Aratz natural park, the Pottokaleku Interpretation Center has organized a unique activity for the upcoming Sunday morning. This initiative aims to introduce the oldest horses that have inhabited the Basque territory since the Paleolithic era, as well as to promote respect for animals.
The program will kick off at 11:00 AM with a dynamic explanation about the pottoka, followed by a Basque legend featuring these horses. Participants will have the chance to get up close to the pottokas, brush them, pet them, put on their halters, or even guide them. Children will also have the opportunity to ride them.
Pre-registration is required to participate, as places are limited. Interested individuals can register by calling 943 782 894 or 699 335 181, emailing arantzazu@gipuzkoanatura.eus, or visiting the website www.gipuzkoanatura.eus. The cost is 13 euros for children aged 3 to 12, and 17 euros for others.
