Artea Prepares to Celebrate May Day Festivities with Extensive Program

The town of Artea is gearing up for its May Day celebrations, featuring a bike tour, artisan market, dance and bertsolari performances, and live music.

The town of Artea is gearing up for its May Day celebrations, featuring a bike tour, artisan market, dance and bertsolari performances, and live music.

The May Day celebrations in Artea will kick off at 11:00 AM with a children's bike tour, a second-hand market, and an artisan fair. The latter will feature various local artisans and brands such as Artea soinean, Kenika, Tartalo, Gorakat, Artizar, Bitxik Kool, Zua, Amuki moda, Mi casita del muérdago, Anankaia ediciones, Torontile, Arima Basque brand, Veletta, Nudame, Timba pirata, and Carola kosmetika naturala, offering their products.
At noon, at 12:00 PM, there will be a performance by the Kriskitin dance group, followed by a bertsolari session. The bertsolaris Eneko Abasolo 'Abarkas', Erika Lagoma, and Gorka Lazkano will perform under the guidance of Unai Iturriaga.
The afternoon will also be packed with activities. At 4:30 PM, a tute championship will be held, and at 5:30 PM, there will be a chocolatada. At 6:00 PM, the magician Tor will perform, and at 7:00 PM, a frog game championship. To conclude the day, at 9:00 PM, there will be a romería by the group Errota.
The festivities will continue on Saturday, May 2. In the morning, at 10:30 AM, there will be a classic vehicle gathering. In the afternoon, at 5:00 PM, a children's disco party will take place, and at 7:00 PM, concerts by Julen Burgos, Iker Gomez, and Deriba.
