The Basque capital welcomed a significant influx of tourists during the holiday period, attracted by its cultural and culinary offerings.

Vitoria-Gasteiz experienced a notable influx of tourists during Easter Week, boosted by favorable weather, with visitors praising the city's gastronomy, historical heritage, and cultural offerings.

The Alavese capital met its tourism forecasts for Easter Week, drawing numerous visitors to its central areas such as the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, Plaza Nueva, and the Medieval Quarter. The excellent weather played a crucial role, allowing tourists to fully enjoy the city's diverse attractions.
Many visitors highlighted the local gastronomy as a primary draw. Eva and Alejandro, on their third visit to Vitoria-Gasteiz to see their friend Josu, explored the Salburua wetlands and planned to tour the historic center. Eva remarked that “the food here is great”.

"We have come from Valencia and are touring Euskadi; today in Vitoria we want to learn a bit about its history."

Inma and Mariano, from Valencia, left the tourism office in Plaza Nueva ready for a guided tour, eager to learn about Vitoria-Gasteiz's history as part of their journey through Euskadi. Similarly, a group of friends from Bilbao and Sondika, including Ugaitz, Xabi, Johan, and Rafael (the latter two from Brazil), explored the city's heritage, with plans to visit the New Cathedral, the Medieval Quarter, and the Fournier Playing Card Museum of Álava.
Meanwhile, Ana and Diego consulted the municipal tourism office map, intending to visit La Florida Park, the New Cathedral, and the Cathedral of Santa María. The superb weather, with a cloudless Sunday morning, allowed visitors to take photos in the Virgen Blanca and enjoy the procession that paraded through the center of the Alavese capital.
