The committee of Tubos Reunidos will meet on April 16 with representatives from the Basque Department of Industry and the Araba Provincial Council to address the company's situation and layoffs, amidst ongoing worker protests.

The works council of Tubos Reunidos in Amurrio is scheduled to hold an important meeting on April 16 with representatives from the Basque Government's Department of Industry and the Araba Provincial Council. The primary objective is to discuss the company's and its employees' current situation, as well as to seek potential solutions in response to the redundancy plan.
The meeting will take place at the Basque Government's headquarters in Vitoria-Gasteiz, at 3:00 PM. Sources from the works council have indicated that the company management might also call for a meeting during the same week, although no specific date or time has been set yet.
On Friday morning, hundreds of individuals, including Tubos Reunidos workers and their families, marched from the company's plant in Amurrio to the town center. The demonstration culminated in a gathering in front of the Town Hall. During the march, protesters, wearing orange shirts emblazoned with the slogans “Tubos Reunidos borrokan” (Tubos Reunidos fighting) and “No al ERE” (No to the Redundancy Plan), chanted slogans against the plan, sat on the roadway, and blocked traffic.
The protest concluded in front of the Town Hall, behind a banner displaying the slogan “Tubos Reunidos borrokan”. The workforce plans further mobilizations: on Tuesday, April 14, they will demonstrate in Bilbao, and on Thursday, they will conduct a joint march with workers from Maderas de Llodio.
