Dozens of activists from the Global Summud Flotilla Euskal Herria movement have protested in front of the Rotschild family's properties in Samaniego (Araba), to denounce the family's historical ties with the State of Israel.

The protest took place at the palace and the Macán winery in Samaniego, which are owned by the Rotschild family. Activists stated that this family has played a “historical role” in supporting and establishing the State of Israel, and that these relationships are reflected in the occupation of West Bank territories and the bombings in Lebanon, among other issues.

"We do not want Zionist companies or families in Euskal Herria that support a genocidal state."

The action lasted for over half an hour, and the Ertzaintza identified ten participants. This is the fifth action organized by the Global Summud Flotilla Euskal Herria movement, which has previously mobilized against the CAF company due to its contracts with the State of Israel.
Furthermore, it has been announced that the State of Israel will release two members of the flotilla, Saif Abukeshek and Thiago Ávila, this Saturday. They have been detained for more than ten days, and the Global Summud Flotilla Euskal Herria movement has celebrated their release, while stating that they will continue until “the last of the 9,000 prisoners is released”.
