The film Romance de la luna negra, directed by Argentine filmmaker Pablo César, has been shooting in various locations across the Basque Country since last March, with Amurrio serving as a key setting in the Araba region.

The movie tells a story revolving around memory, love, and the intangible, infused with a touch of mystery. Actress Luz Fernández de Castillo plays the leading role, joined by fellow Argentine actors Lisandro Carret and Alejandro Botto, as well as various performers and extras from Euskal Herria.
During the filming in the Araba territory, the production received support from the Vitoria-Gasteiz Film Office, an entity under the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, to help find all necessary resources during their time in Amurrio.

"With Romance de la luna negra, I want to explore the boundary between reality and the intangible. I am interested in how memory, love, and absence intertwine in old age, not as an end, but as a time of revelations."
