One player has highlighted his dedication to mus, stating that he participated in 48 tournaments last year. This means playing almost one tournament every weekend, which he admits leads to mental saturation. However, he confesses that every Thursday, he feels the call of the game once again.
“"I've made a lot of friends around mus. I've met many people in Euskal Herria and also in Spain, and for me, that's the most important thing."
According to the player, the most important aspect of mus is not just winning or losing, but the relationships forged through the game. He particularly remembers a tournament won in Torrelodones, Madrid, one of the strongest of the year, with a prize of 12,000 euros. He won that three-day competition with a friend from Murgia, Álava, describing the experience as "incredible".
He emphasized that the keys to improving in mus are to play a lot, watch many games, and associate with good people. Patience is also essential. For good performance, knowing your partner well and having effective communication is crucial for making the best decisions. He also acknowledged that luck plays its part, as having the right cards helps a lot.
He explained that courage is needed to call an "hordago" and that the "31 eskutik" play is one of the most beautiful, as it guarantees three points. Finally, he stated that mus is not a source of income but an entertainment, and he wishes to continue enjoying it.
