This call for applications has a total endowment of 20,000 euros, and selected projects will receive grants of up to 4,000 euros, in addition to professional advice. Those interested can submit their proposals until June 30.
The program is aimed at projects related to oral expression in Basque and the promotion of culture in this language. Proposals can be in various formats, such as theater, music, monologues, poetry recitals, bertsolaritza, or audiovisuals, and may also combine more than one genre. However, small-format activities will be prioritized.
The call includes two age groups: one for those between 16 and 24 years old, and another for those between 25 and 35 years old. Participation can be individual or in groups, provided that applicants are registered in Vitoria-Gasteiz or Araba. Projects can be submitted at the San Martín Technical Offices, at the Citizen Service Offices in civic centers, or through the municipal electronic headquarters. Minors must also present authorization from their father, mother, or legal guardian.
In the 2025 edition, 14 young people participated, and a total of 11 projects were presented. The selected works will be showcased between April and September in various venues in Gasteiz. These include the Bi Rotxa podcast at the Baratza hall, the presentation of the Kutxatu Gasteiz project at the Aldabe civic center, the premiere of the Garun Null project at the Izaskun Arrue Kulturgunea, as well as the monologue Bizitza baten koplak and the presentation of the album Doluak.
