The Department of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs has approved a direct grant of 266,200 euros and a collaboration agreement with the Álava Chamber of Commerce to organize the I International Wine Tourism Congress of Euskadi 2026.

The initiative aims to promote the wine tourism sector across Euskadi. The congress will feature institutional sessions in Vitoria-Gasteiz, alongside technical visits to wineries and enogastronomic experiences in Rioja Alavesa, Bizkaia, and Gipuzkoa.
The funding will cover content design, presentations, tastings, and the overall logistics and management of the event. These resources are intended to ensure the professional execution of all scheduled activities.
To ensure effective governance, two bodies will be established: a steering committee for institutional representation and strategic coherence, and a monitoring commission responsible for the technical and operational supervision of the organizational process.
