Correos, the public postal company, will open its facilities in Álava to the public as part of Open Government Week.

Once again, Correos is joining the celebration of Open Government Week in 2026. The aim of this initiative is to publicize the operations of the public company, as well as its role as a provider of the Universal Postal Service and Services of General Economic Interest (SGEI).
The initiative, promoted globally by the Open Government Partnership, will take place across the country next week. Its main objective is to bring public administrations closer to citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity, and collaboration.
Correos has organized various activities. Citizens will have the opportunity to learn about the functioning of some of its main offices and logistics centers. Those interested can visit, next Wednesday the 20th, the main office in Vitoria-Gasteiz, located in Celedones de Oro square. Additionally, on the 21st, there will be a chance to see inside the Jundiz Automated Treatment Center.
All activities are aimed at the general public, schoolchildren, young people (students or workers), consumers, users, and professionals. Those interested can already register at correos.com. Capacity is limited to 25 people per group in each office and center, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

"Correos encourages all citizens to participate in this initiative promoted by the Directorate General of Public Governance, with the collaboration of the Open Government Forum, which represents an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the functioning and activity of our country's public administrations and, specifically, of the public postal and parcel company."
