This year's annual excursion organized by the Burdinola Association will head to Araba. It will take place on June 13th, and during this full-day trip, participants will explore the monastery of Estíbaliz, the chapels of the Llanada, and Agurain. They will be accompanied by guides specializing in the Romanesque period and medieval history of Araba.
In the morning, they will visit the monastery of Estíbaliz, considered a jewel of Basque Romanesque architecture. Afterwards, they will see the painted churches of Gazeo and Alaitza. Lunch will be in Agurain, and in the afternoon, they will discover the medieval remnants of the town. The return to Legazpi is scheduled for around 8:00 PM.
The excursion costs 60 euros, all-inclusive. Payment will be made in cash upon boarding the bus. The trip is open to both association members and the general public. The deadline to register is Saturday, the 30th. To sign up, please email burdinolaelkartea@gmail.com or visit the Juan Kruz hair salon on Calle Mayor.
The Burdinola association has recently released the new issue, number 52, of its magazine Txinpartak. Members have already received it, and it will soon be available in digital format.
