The documentary ‘Bihotza, la vida en Álava como nunca la habías visto’, produced by Fundación Vital and Kutxabank, will be screened in 14 municipalities across Álava between June 15th and November 14th. Following its successful run in Arkabia, the film will be shown in various towns, accompanied by talks from environmental specialists about the specific flora and fauna of each region.
Screenings will be available in Basque or Spanish and can be tailored for general, young adult, or family audiences based on municipal preferences. Interested municipalities can request participation by emailing actividades@fundacionvital.eus.
Filmed entirely in Álava over three years, the 45-minute film showcases the territory's immense environmental wealth, boasting the highest biodiversity index in the Iberian Peninsula and one of the highest in Europe.
Confirmed screenings so far include: Laguardia (June 15), Oion (June 17), Rivabellosa (June 23, in Basque), Kuartango (June 25), Murgia (September 18), Lagran (September 26), Markinez (October 3), Aramaio (October 4, in Basque), Artziniega (October 5), Dulantzi (October 16), La Puebla de Arganzon (October 24), Amurrio (November 5), Zalduondo (November 7), and Condado de Treviño (November 14, in Basque).
This initiative, supported by Fundación Vital and Kutxabank, emphasizes the value of Álava's natural heritage. The Basque financial institution is committed to sustainability, aiming to drive the transition towards a green economy.
