The Provincial Council of Álava has announced a 60,000 euro grant program to foster adapted sports and inclusion in the Historical Territory of Álava, with applications open until April 30, 2026.

This initiative targets clubs, sports federations, and non-profit organizations in Álava and the enclave of Treviño that develop adapted sports programs and activities. The primary goal is to enhance access to sports practice and social integration for people with disabilities, as well as other vulnerable or excluded groups, including those in socio-economic disadvantage, migrant populations, refugees, and ethnic minorities.
The grants will fund projects implemented between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. Eligible activities include physical-sports activities and competitions, awareness campaigns, talks, informative sessions, initiatives to recruit new participants, educational programs linked to adapted or inclusive sports, and projects that facilitate the participation of people with disabilities through specific support.
Additionally, the grants will cover expenses for technical staff, travel, sports equipment, insurance, and organizational costs necessary for activity development. Each entity can submit a maximum of two applications, distinguishing between adapted sports and inclusion projects. Awards will be granted competitively, based on a scoring system that considers the project budget, territorial implementation, and the entities' commitment to equality, the Basque language, and inclusion.
